Rainwater Harvesting
"Free Water" for Your Water Feature and More
Have you ever asked yourself - Why do we use treated, drinking water for everything around our homes and businesses? Why do we use water that is treated and clean/safe enough to drink, to flush our waste to the treatment plant? Clean, fresh water is a finite and extemely valuable resource - just ask someone that lives in an area that is in the middle of a drought.
Start collecting/harvesting/capturing the rainwater that falls on the roof of your own home or business and use it for watering your plants and landscaping and save money on your sewer and water bills, and conserve this resource.
Want to ease into harvesting rainwater? Ask us about our 75-gallon decorative rain barrels. These are not your leftover 55-gallon plastic drums that are cleaned and repainted to look ok. These 75-gallon rain barrels look great, and come in either terra cotta or sandstone colors. They have a recessed area on the lid to plant flowers or place something else there to help it blend into the surrounding area. An internal overflow is also built into the barrel so you do not have to see that pipe running down the side of the barrel. A spigot is standard and part of the barrel. This allows you to conect a garden hose and use the water in areas away from the barrel.
If you are looking for something that holds/manages a larger volume of water, we will design a system that works for you using the RainExchangeTM . This system can be designed to manage just about any volume of water. Ask us about the 26,000-gallon+ Boerner Botanical Gardens project we worked on in Hales Corners, WI near Milwaukee, WI.
